Marcus Turner is the Chief Executive Officer of Potencia Partners, bringing more than four decades of executive leadership, entrepreneurship, and strategic advisory experience across the electrical generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial infrastructure sectors. He advises manufacturers, utilities, EPC contractors, technology companies, developers, service providers, and private equity firms on growth strategy, market expansion, manufacturing, mergers and acquisitions, supply-chain development, and the commercialization of technologies supporting the world's rapidly expanding electrical infrastructure.
Beginning his career in a family business founded in 1963, Marcus ultimately served as Chief Executive Officer and transformed the organization from a regional industrial controls distributor into a globally recognized engineered systems and manufacturing company serving the power generation industry. Following the acquisition of Gas Turbine Efficiency and its integration into Wood Group, he served as Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Global Business Development, leading international growth initiatives throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Andrew Lawless serves as Chief Technology Officer of Potencia Partners, bringing more than 35 years of international leadership in electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution. Combining executive management, engineering, technology development, and strategic business leadership, Andrew advises utilities, manufacturers, EPC contractors, private equity firms, investors, and government organizations on the technologies and market forces shaping critical power infrastructure worldwide.
Throughout his career, Andrew has held senior executive and engineering leadership positions with Siemens Energy, ABB, VA Tech, Schneider Electric, Rolls-Royce, and Potencia Partners. As Vice President of Siemens' North American Transformer Business, he led strategy, sales, marketing, technology, product development, project management, contract administration, and lifecycle services for one of North America's largest transformer organizations.
Andrew's expertise spans power and distribution transformers, substations, high-voltage switchgear, transmission systems, power generation, renewable energy, grid modernization, strategic manufacturing, mergers and acquisitions, business development, and technology commercialization. His international perspective has been shaped by living and working in Canada, Spain, Mexico, and the United States. After spending eight years in Spain, Andrew became fluent in Castilian Spanish before serving in senior leadership at a transformer manufacturing facility in Guanajuato, Mexico. He later founded and operated a successful manufacturer's representative organization serving the Mexican power industry and continues to maintain strong business relationships throughout North America, with residences in both Texas and Mexico. His ability to conduct technical, commercial, and executive-level business fluently in both English and Spanish enables him to bridge manufacturers, utilities, engineering teams, and clients across international markets with exceptional credibility.
A recognized industry leader in grid resiliency and critical infrastructure, Andrew has worked extensively with the U.S. Department of Energy, the Department of Homeland Security, FERC, NERC, NEMA, IEEE, and CIGRE on initiatives related to transmission resilience, infrastructure security, strategic transformer reserves, and national energy policy.
Andrew has successfully led international business development, technology transfer, factory assessments, manufacturing evaluations, and major infrastructure projects throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He holds engineering and MBA degrees from the University of Manitoba and is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA.

Ali N. Jahromi, PhD, PE, P.Eng., is a Partner at Potencia Partners specializing in high-voltage engineering, transformer diagnostics, asset management, and power-system reliability. With more than 20 years of international experience, he advises utilities, OEMs, EPC contractors, industrial clients, and investors on the testing, commissioning, condition assessment, and life extension of critical electrical infrastructure.
Ali's expertise spans power transformers, underground cable systems, GIS switchgear, substations, instrument transformers, renewable generation assets, battery energy storage systems, and other high-voltage equipment. Throughout his career with Kinectrics, METSCO Energy Solutions, and Potencia Partners, he has led complex field investigations, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, root-cause failure analyses, laboratory programs, and advanced diagnostic projects for major utility and industrial clients throughout North America and internationally.
Widely recognized as a leader in transformer diagnostics and high-voltage testing, Ali has extensive hands-on experience with partial discharge measurement, dielectric frequency response, insulation coordination, transient analysis, dissolved gas analysis, dynamic resistance measurement, health-index development, risk-based asset management, and advanced condition-assessment methodologies. He has conducted root-cause investigations on more than 20 large power transformers and more than 50 medium-voltage assets, including pad-mounted transformers, switchgear, terminations, surge arresters, bushings, and cable systems.
Ali has witnessed factory acceptance testing for power transformers, instrument transformers, underground cable systems, GIS switchgear, and other critical electrical equipment in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, the Netherlands, China, and India. He has also led commissioning and testing for renewable-energy facilities, substations, transmission assets, and battery energy storage systems, including electrical testing, load-bank testing, grounding, protection and control testing, anti-islanding, black-start, monitoring-system verification, infrared scans, and ultrasonic and airborne partial-discharge surveys.
An internationally recognized industry leader, Ali serves as Chair of IEEE C57.113, IEEE Recommended Practice for Partial Discharge Measurement, and previously served as Chair of IEEE C57.161, Guide for Dielectric Frequency Response Testing. He actively contributes to IEEE PES Transformer Committee, IEEE Insulated Conductors Committee, IEEE High Voltage Testing Techniques, IEC TC 42, CSA, and CIGRE working groups, including work related to IEEE 4, IEEE 510, and CIGRE A2/D1 transformer partial-discharge initiatives.
Ali is the author and co-author of numerous IEEE papers, CEATI technical guides, and industry publications on transformer diagnostics, asset management, partial discharge, and high-voltage engineering. He also co-authored the EPRI Underground Distribution Systems Reference Book and is widely recognized for translating advanced research into practical engineering solutions that improve the performance, reliability, and long-term management of critical electrical assets.

Emilio Morales Cruz is a Partner at Potencia Partners, specializing in transformer engineering, asset management, condition assessment, and technical strategy. With more than 45 years of experience in transformer design, manufacturing, diagnostics, and engineering leadership, he advises utilities, manufacturers, industrial clients, investors, and EPC organizations on improving transformer reliability, optimizing asset performance, and reducing operational risk.
Throughout his career, Emilio has held senior engineering and leadership positions with GE PROLEC, Ohio Transformer, Sunbelt Transformer, Efacec, and Qualitrol, where he led multidisciplinary engineering teams, managed complex transformer programs, and supported the design, manufacture, testing, and condition assessment of power transformers ranging from distribution-class units to extra-high-voltage transformers exceeding 1000 MVA and 500 kV.
Emilio combines deep transformer engineering expertise with modern monitoring, diagnostic, and asset-management technologies to help clients maximize equipment life, improve system reliability, and make informed investment decisions. He is widely recognized for his work in transformer condition assessment, failure analysis, technical due diligence, field diagnostics, supplier qualification, and customer education, having delivered more than 50 technical seminars for utilities, manufacturers, and industry organizations.
His experience also includes transformer specification and design review, factory and field testing, troubleshooting, supplier development, engineered-product management, Latin American business development, and field-service supervision. Across leadership roles ranging from engineering manager to director of engineering and technical application specialist, Emilio has consistently connected detailed technical analysis with practical solutions that improve quality, lead time, reliability, and customer outcomes.
An active contributor to the global power industry, Emilio is a Senior Member of IEEE and an active participant in IEC and CIGRE technical working groups, helping shape international standards and best practices for transformer engineering and asset management. He also brings extensive experience implementing ISO 9000 quality systems, Six Sigma methodologies, and engineering-process improvements that enhance design quality, manufacturing efficiency, and long-term asset reliability.

Alfonso García Ramirez is the Director of High Voltage Testing, Laboratory Engineering & Quality Systems at Potencia Partners, bringing more than 40 years of experience in power-transformer testing, high-voltage laboratory design, quality management, and electrical research. He advises transformer manufacturers, utilities, EPC contractors, and industrial clients on laboratory development, testing processes, quality systems, diagnostics, and transformer performance.
Throughout his distinguished career, Alfonso has held senior technical leadership positions with the Electrical Research Institute of Mexico, Siemens Transformers, Nexus Magnéticos - Jefferson Electric, and WEG Transformers USA. He has led the development, modernization, accreditation, and operation of high- and medium-power transformer testing laboratories while supporting engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, field service, and customer witness-testing organizations throughout North America.
Alfonso is widely recognized for his expertise in power-transformer testing, high-voltage laboratory engineering, and quality-system implementation. He directed testing programs for power transformers up to 440 MVA and 1550 kV BIL, developed advanced testing methodologies, designed automated measurement systems, and implemented laboratory improvements that increased testing capability, efficiency, repeatability, and reliability. His technical experience includes factory acceptance testing, applied- and induced-voltage testing, partial-discharge measurement using electrical and acoustic methods, frequency-response analysis, winding resistance, temperature-rise testing, loss measurement, impulse testing, dissolved gas analysis, insulating-oil diagnostics, calibration systems, and measurement uncertainty.
A recognized leader in laboratory quality systems, Alfonso developed and implemented comprehensive quality-management programs that achieved and maintained accreditation under ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and NMX-EC-17025 standards. He has designed and commissioned transformer test laboratories, insulating-oil laboratories, grounding systems, reactive-power compensation, dielectric test systems, resonant systems, instruments, and specialized measurement platforms while developing test procedures, work instructions, technical reports, uncertainty-analysis methodologies, and staff training programs.
Throughout his career, Alfonso has provided technical leadership in transformer diagnostics, test-failure analysis, field troubleshooting, commissioning support, witness testing, and root-cause investigations. His early work at Mexico's Electrical Research Institute included power fuses, lightning-induced transients, distribution-transformer protection, and testing in accordance with ANSI and IEC standards, giving him a broad understanding of how equipment design, protection, and testing interact across the electrical system.

Rogelio Carlos Martinez Villarreal is the Director of Transformer Engineering, Manufacturing & Technology Development at Potencia Partners, bringing more than 40 years of leadership in transformer engineering, research and development, manufacturing, and production optimization. He advises transformer manufacturers, utilities, EPC contractors, and industrial clients on engineering excellence, manufacturing strategy, technology development, quality systems, and operational performance.
Throughout his distinguished career, Rogelio has held senior leadership positions with Virginia Transformer, Georgia Transformer, GE, Siemens Transformers Mexico, and Prolec-GE, where he has directed engineering, production, quality, testing, and technology organizations responsible for some of the industry's most advanced power-transformer programs.
Rogelio's expertise spans the complete transformer lifecycle - from concept development, proposal design, and detailed engineering to manufacturing, testing, quality assurance, failure analysis, and continuous process improvement. He has led the design and production of power and autotransformers up to 450 MVA, 500 kV, and 1550 kV BIL while driving initiatives that improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, reliability, safety, and cost competitiveness.
Widely recognized for combining engineering innovation with manufacturing excellence, Rogelio implemented advanced three-dimensional electrical and mechanical design-automation systems that improved dielectric-clearance verification, eliminated interferences, and contributed to an 80 percent year-over-year reduction in non-conformance reports. During his tenure at GE, he directed major Department of Energy-supported research and development programs totaling more than $7 million and delivered approximately $9 million in design and efficiency savings between 2009 and 2016. His work included new ultra-efficient transformer lines and harmonic-resistant designs.
During a decade at Siemens Transformers Mexico, Rogelio managed a team of 46 engineers and served on Siemens' Global Engineering Steering Committee, coordinating design practices across 19 plants worldwide. He implemented optimization systems that reduced material use by approximately 3 percent, trained engineers in Six Sigma methodology, and led R&D programs that helped make the Mexico plant technically independent from its Canadian counterpart.

Camilo Joel Sánchez Santillan, PE, is the Director of Mechanical Engineering, Structural Design & Transformer Reliability at Potencia Partners, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the mechanical design, structural analysis, manufacturing, and refurbishment of power transformers. He advises transformer manufacturers, utilities, EPC contractors, and industrial clients on mechanical engineering, seismic qualification, transportation design, structural integrity, and transformer reliability throughout the full equipment lifecycle.
Camilo specializes in the mechanical design of power transformers, including active-part structures, tank design, positive-pressure and full-vacuum analysis, seismic qualification, transportation engineering, short-circuit withstand, oil-preservation systems, cooling systems, lifting and jacking provisions, and mechanical optimization. His expertise combines advanced analytical engineering, mathematical modeling, and finite element analysis to improve structural performance, reduce manufacturing cost, and enhance long-term equipment reliability.
Throughout his career with WEG Transformers, OTC Services, and as an independent engineering consultant, Camilo has designed and optimized power transformers up to 1,550 kV BIL and 12,500 amps while leading engineering initiatives involving transformer structures, active parts, tank assemblies, seismic certification, transportation systems, and complex mechanical calculations. He has also designed specialized rectifier transformers and developed complete three-dimensional assemblies containing more than 2,000 individual components.
Camilo is widely recognized for his expertise in structural qualification and transformer seismic design under IEEE 693. As a licensed Professional Engineer in California, he has issued multiple PE-certified seismic qualification reports and developed analytical methods that help manufacturers determine seismic levels, calculate forces, validate structures, and meet demanding utility and regulatory requirements. His experience also includes rupture-resistant transformer tank design under IEEE C57.156 and transportation analysis in accordance with IEEE C57.150 and applicable Association of American Railroads requirements.
Camilo has extensive experience in transformer refurbishment and modernization, having engineered mechanical upgrades for more than 100 power transformers from manufacturers including GE, Prolec, Siemens, WEG, Westinghouse, Efacec, Delta Star, Virginia Transformer, Waukesha, and others. His work includes active-part and tank redesign, life extension, component replacement, LTC and DETC adaptation, root-cause analysis, advanced-material planning, and modernization programs that improve reliability while extending the operating life of critical assets.
Leveraging ANSYS, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Mathcad, Mathematica, and advanced analytical design methods, Camilo helps clients optimize transformer designs for manufacturing, transportation, installation, seismic performance, short-circuit resilience, and long-term operational reliability.

She specializes in digital transformation, enterprise data architecture, cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics, helping organizations improve operational performance, unlock business intelligence, and accelerate technology adoption through scalable, data-driven solutions.
Throughout her career, Gisela has designed and managed the data infrastructure supporting some of Latin America's largest telecommunications and digital enterprises. During more than 15 years with Claro AMX, she served on an elite team of senior database architects responsible for production database and enterprise data-warehouse environments supporting more than 48 million customers across Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
In parallel with her technical responsibilities, Gisela led multinational project teams, managed service-level commitments for mission-critical operations, mentored engineering talent, and delivered transformational performance improvements. Among her most notable achievements, she redesigned a production process that reduced execution time from weeks to seconds, producing a documented 99.999 percent performance improvement and substantial operational savings at enterprise scale.
Following Claro, Gisela served as a Cloud Infrastructure Architect for DirecTV Argentina, leading enterprise cloud database operations and high-severity incident response. She currently architects the enterprise data and cloud platform for EmailXL.com, where she successfully delivered a production system after multiple prior expert teams had been unable to bring the platform to an operational state.
Today, Gisela focuses on the convergence of enterprise data architecture and artificial intelligence. She designs production-ready AI solutions that integrate generative AI, semantic search, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, and large language models to help organizations automate operations, improve decision-making, and extract greater value from their data assets. Her own career includes founding and leading Shanghai Encheng Enterprise, helping introduce international gas-turbine technologies and service providers into China, and supporting major joint ventures and long-term commercial relationships.

Alberto Dumas serves as Director of Latin America Market Development & Strategic Partnerships at Potencia Partners and is the firm's Strategic Partner for Latin America. Based in Honduras, Alberto works alongside Potencia as a trusted cross-border advisor, helping clients successfully develop opportunities throughout Latin America while connecting regional organizations with engineering, technology, manufacturing, investment, and infrastructure resources from North America, China, and other global markets.
With more than 20 years of international business experience, Alberto combines expertise in infrastructure development, project finance, strategic investment, market expansion, and international business with a unique understanding of how business is conducted across Latin America, the United States, and China. He earned his degree in Economics from the University of Texas at San Antonio, completed advanced Mandarin studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and spent nearly a decade living and working in China building relationships with manufacturers, investors, and industrial organizations that continue to support international business today.
In addition to his leadership role with Potencia Partners, Alberto serves as Financial Director of ESCO Honduras, where he works alongside a multidisciplinary commercial and technical organization supporting energy, industrial, and infrastructure projects throughout the region. Together, Potencia and ESCO provide clients with an integrated platform that combines international engineering, commercial strategy, technical advisory, and trusted local execution throughout Latin America.
Earlier in his career, Alberto served as Advisor to the Minister of Finance of Honduras, helping structure and negotiate major infrastructure financing initiatives, sovereign lending programs, international investment, and strategic public infrastructure projects. His experience also includes sourcing, procurement, and international business development throughout China, giving him practical insight into both Asian manufacturing and Latin American project execution.
